It’s happening.
Ideologues of all stripes are harrumphing about their “principled stands”; their refusal to vote for the “lesser of two evils”. Some are even playing the card we saw from some Tory supporters in the UK and arguing that a vote for the “worse” side will do the most long-term good by somehow shaming the “good guys” into getting their act together.
Don’t listen to them.
There are two major reasons why principled Americans should be voting against Democrats this fall, and that remains true even if theirs are principles that Democrats generally align with.
The Institutional Power Gap
Whether it’s “Two-Tier Keir” in the UK, “lawfare” in the United States, or general “bias”, we’ve seen a very sharp disparity in the treatment of partisan camps not only by academics and media organizations, but also by ostensibly nonpartisan institutions, including government agencies.
